Hi there, still new to the forum trying to learn the ropes, live in South Africa and have started our little backyard coop, did a whole lot of research before the time but it's still daunting, our girls came home in April and started laying in June (winter in SA), so far so good. We started with 2 hens (yes I know it's a tiny start) and want to add another 2 this month. Well that's us in a nutshell, thanks

Welcome to BYC and the wonderful world of chickens!

Feel free to ask any questions you have, just chat about your chickens, post pictures, and make comments.

Best of luck!

Hi, welcome to BYC!

Nothing wrong with starting small. If you're like so many of us, the chicken math will kick in and you'll end up with lots of chickens, lol.

The method for integrating @Yorkshire coop gave you a link to works very well. That's how we have done it when increasing our flock and there was a minimum of bickering.

Good luck to you and it's nice to have you here!
