Newbies 1st Hatch ! ! *Contest Listing updated*

Through another thread, we've realized that there are so many newbie's incubating, and hopefully hatching, their first batch of eggs. In this thread we will share our questions/errors/successes and hopefully pictures of our new baby chicks!

To make this interesting, I'm going to offer a 6 month BYC Golden Feather Membership to the member with the highest hatch rate percentage (based on # of eggs attempted to hatch). With all the info at BYC, I'm betting on a few 100% hatches, so in the event of a tie, I'll draw names! This listing accepted names of new hatchers until 4-8-09.

3/17 was my set day. This should be fun. Great idea.

Most were born April 6th. We got 21 out of 29 to hatch out. It was thrilling and I slept 1 hour those two days. I didn't want to miss one hatching... So of course I'm doing it again.

You can add me. I put my eggs in on the 23rd in my homemade bator that I made due to this site (A dangerous place, it 'tis!).
One question though: Do the infertile/no development eggs count in the percentages?
Just curious.

BTW I set 15 eggs, 9 were shipped to me, 6 are homegrown, and I'm sure I've already made some egregious errors!

This is sooo much fun!!! Okay so I think we should classify what is a good hatch, so if we find an egg with a blood ring does that go on our hatch percentage? What about an infertil egg? Or is it only the eggs that go into the hatcher? Okay I am done with the questions! I am at 10 days with my BO's from Buster! Yeppy!
