yeah--this sounds awesome-I set ( for my very first hatch ever) 37 and 1 monsterous double yolker-fingers crossed...My starting dates MArch 31st I started 13 of my OB's and RIR's. April 2nd I recieved a shipment of mixed eggs ( 24) from a BYC member-I also plucked that double yolker from a nest and put them in at the same time...so 38 is my starting number. Ill post a photo when I can figure out how to-Im half way there....

I put 23 mixed eggs that may or may not be fertilized into my home made cooker on Wednesday Night.

What a bunch of lovely eggs!

I tried not to overdo it for my first time, although it was tempting to put ALL the eggs laid on 3/31 in there!!

There are 15 in all, 9 were bought/shipped and 6 from the coop (and fridge) to see what happens.

I put 13 BO's in on March 26th and 6 Maran eggs in on April 2.

Last night I candled again. Took two out. One was infertile, one had a blood ring, leaving me 6 of the original Gold Lace cochin eggs.

I'm crossing everything here!
