Hi, I want in on this.

I set 23 eggs on March 26th. (5 cochin banty & 5 RIR) The other day we candled & saw at least 20. There are 3 I'm pretty sure are clear. Of course, that doesn't mean they will all hatch. Good luck, everyone!

I want to enter!!!!! Thanks. I tried to build my own Homemade Cabinet Incubator which you can view on my homepage, My first day (1) was Mar 17th. I just put them into the Hatching tray tonight on day 18. All of my eggs were produced from my home flock and are several breeds, Light Brahmas, Barred Hollands, Silkies, RIR, BO's, Buff Cochins, Barred Rocks, and a few mutts.
I started with 41, on day 10 I found 2 clear, & 1 blood ring, on day 16 I found 2 more non-viable, the rest are all good and developing. I think that is around 90% so far, I will update when all are hatched. here they are in the tray on day 18.

These eggs are about 4" from the glass for a great birds eye view of the hatch.

Updated two more. Two more days to get added to the list. Then we'll need to start collecting results of your hatches.

SO what are we seeing in the candling ???

Anyone culling some blanks or anyone seeing bloodring eggs??

Hey Al - I checked out your incubator page, and WOW

how impressive! First, it looks like a regular piece of furniture and not some ugly industrial incubator, and Second, so much room for eggs -- I would personally be in trouble if I could fill that much! Evidently you haven't found that auction thread yet.... LOL Also, the built in candler is an awesome idea.
If everyone hasn't gone to take a look yet, check out Al6517's BYC page. So cool
