Newborn chick with scabbed ears

Hatched out some chicks but one of them has these scab/crusty looking this is around his ears, the rest of them don't have this- just want to make sure that it's not an issue

I don't think infection. Perhaps underdeveloped, but I don't really have a solid answer for you.

I should add that if underdeveloped, it would be prone to infection and I would go ahead and use some triple antibiotic (without pain relief) while I waited for the more knowledgeable to chime in. May not help, but won't hurt.

No clue...is not mess with it and just wait and see what happens.
Sometimes messing with stuff makes it worse.
