Great!! Got any pics?? You will love your Orps. They are very docile, friendly, great layers and if you work with at babies, they make great lap warmers!!!

Well, there they are! I couldn't figure out how to add text after uploading the pic. They grow very quickly! They are noticeably larger than they were yesterday.

What cutie pies!!! And yes, you can almost stand there and watch them grow, that is how fast they are shooting up.

Enjoy your new babies and thanks for sharing!

I think if there weren't male rabbits with the chickens it might work out, also if the hens were large fowl and not bantams. I've never had rabbits so really shouldn't venture any opinion.

I really should have been clearer when asking about the rabbits with the chickens. The rabbits stay in their cages for the most part. When they get out, they come in the house. I don't want to risk ticks, fleas and worms. Rabbits are very sensitive to chemicals and I wouldn't put any type of repellant on them They don't dust-bathe. They are constantly grooming themselves Anything that gets on them, gets in them. What I am intending to do is place the rabbit cages inside the chicken yard. Chickens apparently like to scratch through rabbit manure, and rabbits as scared as they are, apparently tolerate chickens well. I have my materials, but I haven't built the coop or yard yet. I'll post pics as I get started.
