Newby question

I have been raising exotic pheasants for a long time. I decided to broaden my horizons and mess with chickens. I have 15 blue marans chicks and 15 wheaten americauna chicks bought and payed for and I am waiting on delivery. I have an acre and half completely fenced. My aviary and one dog and 3 horses are in this lot. Will chickens fly over a 5 foot fence and go visit the neighbors (bad idea) or stay inside an acre encloser most of the time?

They'll stay inside the fence for the most part, especially once they consider it home. Predators, on the other hand, will have no trouble coming in to get them if they're not locked up at night.
