Integrate at night, not during the day. It's been my experience that chickens wake up and see the new/old bird and they're like "huh?" and that's about it

If you notice feather picking, then an old timers method of getting them to stop would be to rub pine tar on the affected area, as you can imagine the stuff tastes disgusting and they won't be biting her again any time soon.

The "Peck no more" from tractor supply worked great for us! It smells so bad lol. They would get close, smell it, and turn the other way. It also helps heal the wound. But get ready for your chick to have purple/pink feathers for awhile
