In the Brooder
Hi,
I live in New South Wales Australia. A place called Sunny Corner. Been here for about 10 years and moved here from a place called Wollongong on the east coast of Australia.
My home is on 20 acres and plenty of room for chickens. I have built a big pen for them about 6 years ago but had trouble with rats. So I gave the chickens to my son who also moved and is also living and 8K's away from me. I rebuilt the pen with a trench all the way round the pen. The trench was deep and filled it with broken glass and then rocks on top of the glass. So if the rats started to dig holes to get in my pen they would have trouble. But didn't ask for my chickens back as it has been about 2 years since I gave them to my son. So I bought 3 Australorps about 3 months ago and yesterday I get 2 more. My hens are Australorp which was developed in Australia from the Black Orpington stock. It is smaller than the Orpington with a trimmer appearance. I now have 5 Australorps and an happy with them. they mixed really well. But now i will have to build my hen pen bigger so they can have more room.
My other hobbies are live steam engines. Radio control aircraft. I am retired now and enjoy my hems and flying my aircraft.
That's me hay.

Hey there and :welcome! We are glad you could join us :D

Looks like we got another RC aircraft enthusiast right here! What do you like to fly? I mostly do quads/FPV, and some model airplanes.
