I’m starting to think my bird may have Newcastle. My next door neighbor recently brought home some new ducks and I’m considering the possibility they had something. Our birds never intermingle, but they are about 40 yards away or so. Could Newcastle be transmitted by the air that far?

I saw this one, I see that it can be transmitted through the air and I’m wondering precisely how far

Can you please give more information about the symptoms you are seeing?

Thank you.
At this point, I’m not so sure. One chicken just died and another one is sick but they’re presenting differently. This one’s crop doesn’t appear to be emptying overnight, reduced appetite, she’s laying down a lot and isolating herself, and she is limping. What would you do? I don’t want to lose another one.

Well, you keep starting threads, so it's hard to know what to do.

Symptoms are all over the place it seems. Likely you are not dealing with Newcastle's since you don't report any respiratory symptoms.

I'd follow the suggestions posted on the thread below and see how it goes.
