Hi guys im new to the forum and new to chicken keeping..

I bought some hylines yesterday and this morning I realized that they are all sneezing. I know it can be normal, but they have a gooey discharge (snot)

They are all active, eyes are clear, combs are still bright of colour ( exept one female ), they are all eating and drinking well.. I did add some vitamins and minerals to their water today.. I heard adding vinegar ( the apple vinigar ) would help too but not to sure on that and not sure on what dilution should be..

There is one or two females that have runny poop..

They are 22 weeks of age and they stay outside ( inside a little shelter ( coop ) at night..

Not to sure what to do? Any advice welcome and thanks..

Have they been laying lately or the eggs have defects? If so that means they might have the bird flu which has been common. Please check ASAP because it might speed to other chickens

In all honesty, I would take them back, request a refund, disinfect all your stuff, find a different supplier, and start over. I've heard respiratory issues in chickens can be horrible and I wouldn't want to start out with one.

Get rid of them immediately. Disinfect everything. Its not worth it, especially for a newbie. Please report the chickens to your local ag/state extension/usda office. Chickens are livestock and you need to treat them as such. I know that can sound cruel but unlike a dog or cat, sick chickens affect the food chain for everyone.

Well that sucks haha.. They havent laid any eggs yet..

Dont they usually start at 24 weeks?

Ill take them to the breeder and inform him of his sick animals tomorrow.. As it is a bit late now..

What would u guys recommend for disinfecting? F10?
