First pictures are of how I built the sand/grit boxes.
I build a frame (treated wood, as it sits on ground). Then fill with drain rock.

Cover that with a felt like filter cloth.

Then build another frame on top. Sand will go in the center one.

When including the L shape of the runs, it is 122 feet long.
Each run section has been built independently, as a 12'x12' section, yet all connected, for strength.
The building, divided in the center so it will hold two species.
Each species will have a total of 56 sq. ft. inside their house.
They will have 48 sq. ft. under the porch, sand bath area.
They'll have a run of 576 sq. ft. on open grass, for a grand total of 680 sq. ft. per species.
This aviary covers 1360 sq. ft. of ground.
Each side was planted (so far) with Brandon Cedars, Emerald Cedars and a Juniper.

Wire that will go on it will be the green PVC coated wire.

Last picture, is where the Golden will be housed. Far end is for the Reeves.

The aviary these birds are in right now will be moved and used for meat Pheasants each summer.
I'll build a completely new aviary in it's place, including a new building.
