Do you have photos?

I agree, I would get him hydrated and observe for the night. If he's doing ok in the morning, then try putting him back, but watch that the others don't pick on him.
Original Neosporin can be put in the eye if there's damage, just rinse the eye with saline first.

I would not give medications at this point. I know most don't agree and that's fine, but a sore bird will limit their activity.

Zeon is hanging in there and in my unexperienced opinion, he's doing fairly well. He's been crowing all day and he figured out his roost in his new living area last night. I believe his leg was injured at some point during the attack. He's not having trouble walking, roosting, or even jumping, but he acts like his leg is sore by holding it up every so often and I've noticed him looking down at it. I believe he still has vision in the eye that I thought he lost. I squirted saline all over and all around the eye last night but he started putting up a fight whenever I tried to remove the chunk of blood attached to his eye lid covering his eye. I decided to just slather some ointment in and around the eye and the blood was gone this morning. From what I can tell, he's been looking with that eye all day. I haven't given any pain meds. He's been drinking sugar water and has had nutridrench (which he seemed to enjoy). He has had a little bit of his Flock Raiser Pellets today, but not much. I'm continuing to monitor him closely. From what I can tell, his worst injuries are his torn wattle and his comb being slightly torn from his head in a small area where it attaches. This little guy seriously put up a fight for his life. It looks like he escaped multiple times as I found multiple piles of his feathers throughout his battle. I do remember hearing him in a certain area right before I went outside. I believe he ran into the corner where that jerk got the upper hand. The amount of feathers I have collected is unreal 😟

Zeon just had some small pieces of a couple of grapes. He is VERY picky about treats. There's only a few things that he will eat outside of his Flock Raiser Pellets (refuses crumbles). I've got some girls in here keeping him company and he seems to like that, except for the sassy ones that keep taking his grapes. He is talking to them. I did just notice him high stepping with both legs. Could this be from pain or is this likely neurological? I've noticed it a couple of times on one side (the side I think was slightly injured) but just now noticed him high stepping with both legs. I did get pictures but it's really difficult to see much with him being so dark. What is visible looks way worse in pictures than in person. I plan on continuing the sugar water, nutridrench, and eye ointment. Anything else you'd suggest?

Also wanted to add that his poops are looking normal and good. I feel sure that he is sore because he is standing on his roost often, but he does jump down (roost is about 1.5ft high) occasionally. I think I mentioned this before but he is looking from both sides (both eyes) and his eye that I thought was gone actually looks pretty good for what he's been through. I would rather not give the pain meds unless it's necessary. I agree with Wyorp Rocks thoughts on this, but if he needs something, I will give it to him.

This is the eye that I thought he lost. There was quite a bit of swelling and blood last night. He hates for me to put ointment in it, but I know it interferes with his vision. Luckily, he still has an eye. You can also see his ripped and hanging wattle even though it's on the opposite side. I am shocked at how much swelling is gone. I figured it'd be worse today. I still need to clean him up better. He has some very stiff hackles from the blood, but he wasn't actively bleeding a lot whenever I found him. If I had to guess, the hawk probably had about 10 uninterrupted minutes with Zeon before he had to fly off as he noticed me walking over. I noticed he went back to finish Zeon before he realized I had him. It was right before dark so that was an advantage too

He looks good and sounds like he will make it. Does his eye look normal to you? I am happy that he is doing well. Try wet chicken feed, scrambled egg, occasional canned cat food or tuna, to tempt him. I wouldn’t worry too much about his high stepping yet, but he can take some vitamin E for that. My rooster did that when he was arthritic and sore. It can mean different things.
