Thank you everyone. I am soo glad I chose to get my chickens, they are fantastic and can sit and watch them for hours.
I also got my mum some, and we were debating who's little ladies were going to lay first. Mine did whoop whoop lol.
Oh and Crystal laid her second egg the following day. I'm gathering she will lay daily, now she's started? Xxx
 
Congrats on the eggs! New layers can be very unreliable, laying daily and then not laying for a week, then laying for a few days before taking a break again. She'll get into her stride within a few weeks though. Enjoy!
 
Nothing quite like that first egg is there. I still check my boxes around 3 or 4 times a day for eggs. Each day we (my hubby and I ) marvel at how many we got that day. It is a topic of conversation in our house evry day and after three years it is still as eggciting* as the first one.

I have friends who only collect once every two days????? In our summer heat!
