Im hatching some bantam eggs. I started with eight and now 6 are most likely to hatch. Sadly I can't keep roos so I don't want to have to wait till they get older to sex them bc I don't want to get attached. Is it possible to sex newly hatched chicks? They will probably be hatching Saturday.

No sorry! You won’t be able to tell for at least 10 weeks, maybe even until 18 weeks. They’re not easy to sex! Male chicks are usually bigger and have thicker legs but even pullets can have those features so you just have to wait and focus on them being healthy! :jumpy

Oh my....what an interesting cross! :pop Would love to see pictures if you get the chance. :love

Yeah definitely I have a thread up currently following the egg candling pictures. I can't wait till they hatch! I will most likely also do a thread of them growing up since its such an interesting cross! I already have two other threads posted about the growth of my polish and blue laced red wyandotte
