newly hatched chicks!

Their future babies will be so cute! I bet the buff and lavender together will make interesting looking chicks.:)

I'm curious to see myself and wondering if any of my hens will go broody. I also have 2 EEs and one has a lavender tint to her as well, I think the two of them could make some cute chicks. Here is my boy :)

Thanks for the interest the chicks are getting so far, hoping to see more in the near future.Feel free to post any wild guesses as to gender or color pattern they will have when they are older! Also their 3 week old pictures will be seen April 17th. We shall see the results...:pop

Due to a small unknown predator 3 of the chicks and their dad were killed, and are still at risk.:hit:barnieBut I've re-enforced the hole and put out a trap so I hope to catch it soon! I have good news too though, they are big enough for their own enclosure now and they love it,since they are in their pen it will be harder to individually take pictures of them so today for their 4 week "birthday" I'm posting a group shot of them instead! Feel free to request individual photo's if you wish if the group shot's not enough.:) iphone pics 029.JPG

Success!:yesss: We caught a young female raccoon at the scene of the crime, she was taken to a new place to live miles away from our home so hopefully that's the last attack.(We are re-setting the trap just in case) I love raccoons they are such smart, funny little critter's,which is why I prefer not to kill them unless necessary.
