This little cutie hatched a few hours ago! I'm at a loss for the possible color and gender. I'd describe the color as a silvery gray, darker mask area with a pale yellow spot on top. The legs are darkish but I can't say for sure they are green/blue of an EE or black like the Australorps.
Dad: A big beautiful EE roo with red wings/shoulders, gray chest, dark irridecent green tail and a distinct EE pea comb.
Mom: Any of these are a possiblity: Production Red, Plymouth Barred Rock, Buff Orphington, Black Australorp or a Red Star/Chanteclere.

If it's a little fella - his name will be stew
I can't have more than one roo.
I have 11 eggs spit under two broody hens. This is the first one out and three have piped will likely hatch some time today. The remaining 7 will be a waiting game. I'm wishing for 4 pullets that will lay some pretty blue eggs!
Fingers crossed for this little one!
