Is that normal? Poor gosling. Hatched w/o fully absorbing yolk and still attached to umbilical cord. My hatching experience is limited to chickens so I have no idea if this is typical.

I know the feeling as I recently went through it.
When Balbinka first hatched, the very first thing she did was shoot out a big green poop!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Either on the forum, or through private mail.
I personally cannot answer everything, but I sure can try or refer you to someone who knows.

My goal is to help everyone I can and make the lives of poultry better through education, kindness, and knowledge.
They are so underrated it's ridiculous. I feel that all chickens, geese, ducks, and other fowl deserve the best of care.

I do too. I have chickens, geese, turkeys, and ducks. I free range all of them because I dont see the point in them living a caged life. I try to read as much as I can and research it all to make sure I'm doing everything okay. Some things you just have to experience before you know what questions to ask

My duckling will be two days old tomorrow assist hatch call duck and he still has green poop. Is that OK? I’ve been giving him electrolytes save a check maybe that’s why I don’t know very healthy otherwise eating and drinking.

Your probably ok. Green is normal in newly hatched waterfowl they dont usually eat or drink for the first 24 hours Goslings are usually 24 hours before they even drink . But would like to suggest you post whats going on in the duck form I dont know much about call ducks. If it still had a yolk belly when you assisted would post on the emergencies form for quick help. But if it has absorbed its yolk and is normally eating just ask for a little help on the duck form.
