Hi,

Some local rescuers gave me this rooster. He was living in terrible conditions and he's missing one wattle, I don't know if someone purposedly cut it out or he lost it in a fight. He kind of looks like a fight rooster, right? Old English, perhaps?

He's quite little, though. When I hold him, he's like a pigeon with a very long tail. I can carry him with one hand. But still doesn't look like a bantam to me, and not as big as the Old English roosters on Google Images either. Any ideas?

Kinda looks like a brown leghorn to me. They aren’t a hefty breed, my pullet who likely isn’t going to get any bigger is quite small too, nearly bantam sized and very thin boned. Not sure how much bigger a leghorn roo would be compared to a pullet but I’m sure they are also on the small side of standard breeds.

He looks like, from what I can tell, a BB red old english game bantam, but I don't have much experience with these chickens. Mabey he is a cross breed? Inserted is a picture of Mcmurray's BB red old english game bantam. Your rooster looks kind of like him?

He isn't a Leghorn, his legs are too gray and his earlobes aren't white (distinct feature of leghorns)
He also looks too big to be an Old English Game Bantam, they are teeny tiny.

I'd guess he's a mix, probably has game breeds in him. He just happens to resemble other breeds color-wise.
Beautiful bird.

I guess he's a mixed breed. It makes sense as he does not come from a reputable hatchery or something like that. He actually comes from a very chaotic place. Thank you, guys!

Well, now I guess there's no way to know his age, is it?
