My poor 10 mo bbb white Turkey hen, Giblet, I’ve noticed is laying down a lot more than usual over the last 2 days, is more lethargic, and has had more runny poos I’ve noticed. She was acting normally till the last few days. There have been a couple changes over the last week that I don’t think would be the culprit but I’m still new and need all the advice I can get. The first change is that TSC was out of the normal all flock feed I give them, the DuMor all flock 17% pellets, so I had to get the NatureWise all flock 20% pellets till I can get their regular feed (this switch was about 2 weeks ago). The other change was that I discovered mites and feather fleas on both her and my tom this week, I completely cleaned their coop and decided to try treating both them and the coop with the MannaPro Poultry Protector before I tried harsher chemicals. And she doesn’t have bumblefoot that I can tell. My tom is acting completely normal. Is there something else I should check that I might have missed?

I recommend changing their diet to Purina's Game Bird Maintenance feed which is 12.5% protein. You don't want to feed adult BBWs a high protein feed.

For the mites you can use Permethrin either dust or spray on.

It is breeding season. She may be assuming the breeding position rather than being ill.
