Hey yall, I have an Easter Egger chick that was born this afternoon doing a really weird thing with its head and neck. It's to the point that the chick is flipping onto its back and cannot always get up without assistance. It will throw its head back to where it is almost literally touching its back then moves its head side to side. It then goes back to normal and back to sleep. It just happens at random. While its head is back it generally will close its eyes as well. It's otherwise alert, moves around as best it can being so young and seems pretty normal. I've never had a chick behave that way before so I have no idea what it is or if I can do anything to help. If anyone has any insight or advice please help. He's a really cutie and I'd just hate to lose a chickie. Thanks!

I had the same problem I think. I finally had to have Hubby put the baby out of it's misery, the other chicks would pick on it, so I separated it, but it kept flipping on it's back and it would cry non stop. It couldn't even eat or drink.

check out this Video of mine, does it look like yours?

Yes actually that IS what mine is doing plus it'll just sit there with its head back sometimes. My other chicks are picking on this one too
