She was nearly 18 weeks.....and sadly today we culled her.
I know it was the right thing to do but it is still always hard. She simply was not getting better. Not worse, but certainly not better. It has been hot, she seemed miserable and lonely.
The upside is that it was a great for my kids lesson in animal husbandry and an even more awesome chance for them (and me!!) to explore the insides of a chicken!
