Newspapers - WINDY day - yuck

Chicken Salad - That would be it. Let it stomp somehwere else.

Cyn - The regular newspaper is not so much the problem. It is all the little free newspapers that don't go in the mailbox or the newspaper box. They just blow around.

Oh man, don't tell my dh. He has a FIT when the FNP delivers a freebie on the ground out front. He calls them up and tells them to come get it. He's....excitable.

Oh my gosh. That is so funny. I have heard of people doing that. I recently was driving on Rt 77 toward Keymar and someone had went to great lengths to paint a very nice sign that was attached to their mail box post that read....
"Do not leave free Newspapers"

I thought it was very funny - Perhpas you hubby will want to make one.

You be safe also.

About 16 years ago, in a really windy spell like this, one entire side of our house roof (shingles) blew off. I will never forget that sound. And to this day, when the wind gets up, I worry.

I went to town this morning to get some feed for the chickens and ran into Wal-Mart to get a few snacks for tonight. While I was in Wal-Mart (for a whole 15 or 20 minutes) someone apparently pulled up next to my care and their car door took out my back door. I realize it was really windy and the wind more than likely contributed to the accident, but it really ticks me off that someone had the nerve to do that and then run off. How rude! The police are checking video and going to try to get the license plate of who did it, so we will see. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for this door. I really don't want to turn it into my insurance for the fact that I certainly don't need that to go up anymore. Grrrr...

Well the wind really did a number here. We were without power for about 3 hours. My incubator got down to 83 degrees and the temp for inside egg got down to 87. They just went in on Sunday. You think they will be ok?

Oh I sure hope they will be okay. I think I've read someplace where someone's broody got off the eggs for several hours then went back and the eggs still hatched. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

gumpsgirl - Thanks! I did a search on BYC last night, when our internet came back. And yes, there were plenty of people who said that they had their incubators get cooler than mine and they still had some hatch.
