NH Maple Syrup 2009 Season

Hi Yotetrapper,

According to the usps.com website it would be 6.00 to ship a pint parcel post.

Thanks,
Patty

Hi there,

Your local extension office should have lots of handouts for making maple syrup. I would contact them and get those, plus the web is a great source of information. How many maple's do you have? Just remember, it takes apprx. 40 gallons of sap to boil down to 1 gallon of syrup. And it does seem like it takes forever to boil down. Filter, filter, filter... You can purchase some polar fleece for filtering, which works very well, but you need almost a yard of it. We cut out large squares and filter every chance we get. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions feel free to email.

Thanks,
Patty:D

Ok,

I mailed out all I had for orders. I want to make sure I didn't miss anyone, if so please let me know. I do have more if anyone is interested.

Thanks again,
Patty

The syrup from R3 Rugrats came today and it is the best EVER!
I 'splurged' and got a quart --- :)
I'm having coffee right now with a spoonful of syrup in it -- super yummy!

Not only is the syrup outstanding but the communication was perfect and the shipping (priority mail) was practically 'instant' --- what a deal!

I'm sooo hoping to be there this weekend in Milford. I've got syrup, maple sugar candies, pumpkin whoopie pies, and whatever else I can find......
