NH Merrimack- TSC chicken swap 11/7

I would like 4 if you have that many. How long is the truck bed? You can have him cut it shorter if it makes things easier.
No problem with the poop, it's going to get pooped on anyway.

The package arrived safely this morning too!

I'll measure a table in the basement this afternoon. That should give me an idea how big it needs to be.

The new ones are currently in the 55 gallon fish tank. They sure are funny looking fish.

i know someone is also coming with some leghorn hybrids and i have the red stars, but the leghorns are 5m old
i am not sure anyone has chicks at this time of year.

LOL! Wendy! Silly girl! You know I always have some chicks some where! (and its all your fault, too) At the moment they are all mottled d'Uccles and blue ameracaunas, not production layers, but hey, chicks a chick right? I do have a huge selection of 4-6 week olds, if any one is interested. I keep a running list on craigs list, but if any one wants me to, I could bring some to the swap.

12 Welsummer Females
3 Silver Laced Polish Standard Females
8 Golden Laved Polish Standard Females
18 White Crested Blue Polish Standard Females

24 Blue Silkies
19 White Silkies
2 Partridge Silkies
5 Blk Silkie
11 Buff Silkies

----------Assorted Bantams------------------

5 White Crested Blk Polish Bantam (straight run)
3 Blk Frizzle
20 Splash Rosecomb (PRETTY birds! see photo below!)

I dont know what the gray jap is yet, or even which one it is! They are mostly all in together so until they grow its hard to tell some of them apart! Obviously, I can tell the silkies, but the Japs are a bit tougher! I am going to sort them in the next few days, hopefully, to make them easier to tell apart, but even then, the white and grey japs might be a bit hard to sort from the splash rosecombs for a bit! I am eager to see the little grey myself, I like them too!

They are 4 weeks old, but we still have a couple heat dlights in the brooder (8' x 4' custom jobbie made by me out of plywood, with big 'play pens' off either side) mostly cause it gets cold in the greenhouse at night. I would say they are running at about 70-75 degrees now. They are all feathered, and the polish are starting to show nice poufs, and some have muffs!

My Ameracaunas are just 6 days old, I only have 4 right now, they are blue ones from Gabbard Farms eggs. I also have some of her Blue Birchen Maran babies, but I am going to keep them for myself I think, at least for the moment!

I am not planning on bringing a lot to the swap, mostly what people want me to bring, and maybe a few Polish and 7 week old Cochins that I forgot to add to that list. Mostly I am just going to say hello to everyone! (maybe shed a rooster or two!?)

A~
