Niacin and leg issues

WOOHOOO for Niacin. I use it on all my ducks wether they need it or not every week in their water. I would rather have healthy ducks and spend a couple of bucks to have healthy ducks than a poor duckling with legs like that and NO niacin. Its worth it in the end

Thank you for posting this!! My poor Luckie looked like duck B. I've been crushing up Niacin pills in her water and she is improving so much! But according to this I've been overdosing her. lol I'll have to cut back

Niacin is water soluble, so it is very hard to overdose. You may be giving more then you need and the rest is just passing through. 100mg per gallon is fine, in ducks with problems it is ok to double that until they are better. Make sure not to buy the slow release or low/non flushing version, its labeled as inositol hexanicotinate. It does not get well absorbed in ducks. You want nicotinic acid, and not all stores carry it. You may have to check several stores.
