Niacin help

I use starter feed and crumble a pinch of nicotinic acid in the feed and maybe a little tri vi sol liquid vitamins to there water or sometimes a hardboiled egg, makes for a good start for them. but, once they feather out the feed should be enough niacin in it to suffice. I feed mine crumble with scratch grain and mullet has a few things in it like rice and cracked corn too.

Thanks so much! I am going to keep up with the starter feed, peas, lettuce, mealies, and put the niacin in their water. When should I switch them from starter to different feed? Any recommendations, or can they eat the same layer feed as my hens? My local feed store doesn't carry anything with the word "duck" on it so I am feeling a bit out of my element.

When they mature in a couple months you can just feed the same thing you do for the chickens layer pellets or pretty much anything the chickens eat....

The Duck ABC's :

It's best to get a poultry vitamin mix so you cover not only the niacin. All my adults ducks get this into their drinking water once per week. They are doing well on it. GQF has a product I like to use. It is in powder form and very easy to mix on. 1 tsp per gallon of water.

Thank you! I have bookmarked this and plan on ordering it.
