I have a duckling limping around on one leg. It eats and drinks regularly. I've read that niacin can help with leg problems, however I've given it Save a Chick (which contains niacin) since it hatched (maybe 5 days ago). Does anyone know if there is enough niacin in the Save a Chick to help? The package doesn't say how much it contains. It just lists it in the ingredients. Should I get niacin and use it INSTEAD of the SAC for a couple weeks?

I would get niacin or Brewers yeast and give that to your duckling. it usually only takes a few days to see improvement. and

if you go with Niacin be sure to get plain not time released or flush free, 100-150 mgs per gal of water . Let us know how it does please

Yeah, please let me know too, since I got a duckling with the same problem, besides it being only 1/3 the size of its sibling that hatched the same day! Giving it Save A Chick too and already see some improvement (started that 3 days ago) and got it a Khaki baby for company after separating it from the "bigger" ones...
