How do you know of there is a niacin issue or they are just young ducklings who decide to plop down? 🤔 they are fed the purina duck pellets but maybe they need more? They run and swim and walk ok...but sometimes they plop down to drink or mid walk. I don't see any signs of bowed legs starting. Would it hurt to give them extra if not needed? I see TSC has 2 brands that I could pick up. Sorry for all the nervous ninny posts lol

Weak Legs, Bowed Legs, Pigeon Toed Stance, Enlarged Hock Joints, Retarded Growth and overall general lethargy are common signs of a B deficiency. Plopping down mid walk seems normal to me, although if you suspect they might need more B3, adding a few drops into their water/feed wouldn't hurt them.

Don't ever feel sorry for posting, we're glad to answer any questions you have. :)

Pekins seem especially prone to the leg problems because they grow so quickly and get so big. If you have pekins you might want to supplement them with the liquid vitamin B to avoid any problems or at least have it on hand.

This is the best source of niacin for your ducklings. I'm assuming they are Pekins? They are very prone to leg issues.

TSC has this. 1 ml over a treat for them is the best way. I think that putting it in water just dilutes it too much plus ducks are sloppy drinkers so most of it would be wasted.
