Hello! My name is Erik. I´m 22 years old and from Gotha. Thats a city in Thüringen, the central state of germany. My english is far from perfect but i hope it is understandable.

My family keeps feathered animals since always ha ha.

We have many breeds of chicken and i want name them:
We have
Zwerg Australorps

Westfälische Totleger

Beside that we also have a few of mixed races like Wyandotten, Domenikaner and Brahma, Marans as well as some chicken who lay green eggs.

My father also has alot of pigeons. He uses them for competition. They drive them away and then they return home in a short period of time.

We also have 5 geese and 2 turkeys. I´m interested how all that is working in different countries so i made an account here. :D

Great pictures.

The learning center has alot of information and you can find an answer to almost any question.

Your English is excellent and so are your birds! I love the 'Westfalians' as they are known in English, they are closely related to the Braekel which is what the Americans call the Campine.

This breed was the first breed to spark my interest in Poultry when I lived in Fallinbostel, Germany and used to buy free range eggs from a local enthusiast who bred Westfalians and Brahmas.

Willkomen in BYC!!!

Thanks for the nice greetings. I will make some pictures of the "Westfalians" this evening. They are really cool and its a kinda rare breed. Are they kept in USA too?
