nice rooster

i am think of getting a rooster for the farm and i wanted to know if there were any breeds in particular that are extra nice. I tried getting frizzles and they would not breed my other chickens.

From my experience, Buff Orpington roosters are gentle, and they should fertilize eggs.

Some roosters are just "defective." It may just be that particular rooster and not the breed itself.

While temperament ultimately depends on the individual, my favorites have been OEGs (can be aggressive to other roos at times), and Silkies for bantams and Dorkings, Orpingtons, and JGs for standards. Hope you pick out a nice roo!
