Not sure if this is the best place for this or not. Here goes....
So Monday afternoon the neighbors show up. They live on the other side of our 30 Acre field. Apparently my guineas decided to make a trip to their house and recruited their 2 males. So here I have 2 extra males and they want to catch them. Yea well day one didn't work. So yesterday they show up and we get to talking about the cats here. Alot of them were born here but I also take in the strays and in some cases when a cat is facing being shot elsewhere they end up here. So anyways we got to talking and I was telling them how in November I had got 10 of them fixed and vaccinated. Told them how I still have a few to do yet and that I've noticed a few more strays hanging around that I am going to try and live trap and do the same. She thanked me for what I do and all of that. I ended up catching their guineas with the help of my sister last night. Well the woman stopped by today and gave me $50 and said thanks again for helping with her guineas and for what I do for the cats......Its nice to know that someone notices and appriciates...Sometimes as I told her also it gets to be very overwhelming when you are feeding and vetting anywhere from 10-25 is the most we have ever had here. Right now we are at 15 and 3 strays. Things like this make me realize why I do it. Its just nice for someone else to notice and appriciate. Thats my story
