Hi guys!
im really excited to join.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes! I started with two silkies (male and female). Got four baby chicks about 2 months ago. Aracuana, Plymouth Rock, Penedesenca and Rhode Island. Now Bella, the silkie has one baby of her own and adopted another four (Brahma and a few unknown mixes.. long story)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 11
(3) What breeds do you have? Aracuana, Plymouth Rock, Penedesenca, Rhode Island, silkie and Brahma
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Itās so much fun and awarding! Itās also giving great values and education for the kids. I LOVE my chicken!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, surfing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We live in Israel in the countryside. Iām originally from Sweden and moved here 10 years ago. We have 3 children. No other animals at the moment but Iām looking to adopt a cat.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Every time I post a question on Google I find the most informing answers on your forum! So I thought to myself.. why not just join!?
I hope itās also ok for people outside of the States to join... I wasnāt sure.
Iām really excited to do this chicken journey together with all you experts and newbies out there!
