Does anyone else give insulting, albeit affectionate, nicknames to their flock or members of it? My goats bear the brunt of my insults but the chickens get some too. Just today I caught myself calling a chick that decided to sleep outdoors "King Dummy McDummypants". The goats get called "dumb dog", and the dog gets called "dumb goat". I used to have a Dominique that got called Captain Spazzypants so much that it became his real name. What can I say---after you've had several hundred birds, you get a bit lax in the naming department.

I do tell my 8 inch cockerel I’ll ring his neck and like it?? And I do enjoy the fact that they are cock..erels til grown
"Mister, cut that out or I'm going to eat you" gets directed at at least one of my roosters per day.

My son and I have names for all of our chickens. My husband, on the other hand, can never remember who is who so he has his own nicknames for them based on their physical attributes......including. “Cousin fat legs,” (RIR) “Golden Eagle,” (Buff Brahma)“Crazy Eyes,” (our mixed breed with crazy orange eyes!!) “Elephant Trunk Neck,” (EE) to name a few......If he ever insulted one, I would have to go broody on him!!!!!! Lol.
