Niederrheiner Thread! All Colors!

I sent out the letter that we wrote to the APA along with our draft standards.
I did for to remind everyone to also annotate if you are or are not a member of the APA just below your contact information.
If we have anyone new to this thread that is interested in joining our group, please read the thread and email me. I will send you our letter to the APA trying to get the Neiderrheiners recognized

Yes, I've been following the thread, but this is only my second year having chickens and I've never had chicks or bred chickens before so I'm not confident that I'd be good enough at breeding them to standard yet.

Well if you change your mind this could be a helpful group to gain information from and you could surely add to our group in collecting data and such.

I can definitely keep and send data on my flock from uber chic this year. I'll probably be able to start breeding them in summer/fall of 2018.

I went through the thread again and don't see info on Niederrheiner broodiness. I found someone who can sell me a broody silkie (6 hr day trip, blech!) But I don't think it's worth it if there's a good chance I'll end up getting a broody Niederrheiner. I don't want to take up coop space if not necessary...any one have input on this?

I really appreciate you all helping out this newbie :)

Most of us use incubators. I haven't had one to brood maybe others in the group have? We could use you as a member of our group. UberChicRanch is a member. If you are never able to help nothing lost but if you enjoy the breed then you could become a vital member. All you would need to do is provide your name, email, address and rather you are a APA member or not, that is all you would need to do. I can send you the letter and our draft standards for you to review if you would like. If interested please email me then I will email the group in a group email so that everyone would be available to you for information. My email is [email protected]

Does anyone know where I can get the standard for judging the Niederrheiner against?? I know they aren't APA accepted yet but... Maybe there is something that I could use out there?
