Have you tried making your own ice cream or gelato? You don't need an ice cream maker, though the texture won't be as creamy -- you just need to make the base, pour it into a shallow pan in the freezer, and stir it every half-hour or so until it's firm enough to spoon and eat. Much easier to control what's in it -- including calories and sugar.
Hmm that’s true but not sure if it’d taste as good? I’ve had ā€œlightā€ ice cream before and it tasted like water šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ¤® but maybe if I made it myself it might be better.
 
That may be so, but IF so, it's an extremely useful fiction. Which is to say, it works. If a person eats more of the stuff believed to be high in calories than s/he burns via exercise, one tends to get... fluffy. Trust me on this; you do not want to be that 20-yr-old who is 75 lb overweight. You really don't.
