I am looking to into getting a few small goats. I think I have decided between either the Mini Nubian, or Nigerian Dwarf.
Is one better (less noise, personality, feed consupsution, etc.) then the other??

mini nubian could be a bit larger depending on generation you get.. overall they would be very similar in consumption/expenses..i have both.. my second generation nubian size wise is larger than my nigies but she is comparable in all other areas.. feed etc. and actually quieter than a couple of my nigies.. but then again goats totally have their own personalities!

Nubians are known for their loudness, generally in my experience they are only noisy when they want something or are unhappy about something. I've never had a mini nubian, but I have full sized and nigerian dwarfs. I love nubains, they were my first favorite goats, but I have to admit I love my nigis! Don't know that I'm helping much, you'd want to find a well established mini nubian breeder, in my opinion, because you'd want them to breed true.

You may want to consider getting what is in your area. Especially if you don't want to keep males. If you get females and plan on breeding them, then you need someone close by who is willing to let you use their bucks. You will want to make sure they are clean farm and disease free as well. I would look around your area and see what is around and go from there.

I think they are about the same in feed intake.
Each and every goat has their own personality, some are clowns, some very friendly, some pushy, etc.
Both are great mini dairy goats. Size wise, mini nubians will not be as big as a Nubian and not as small as a Nigerian, they are a large mini breed.

i loved my nigies, it was heartbreaking when i gave them away when i lost my house, they all got excellent homes though
