I have a question for all of you smart chicken fans, I have a young hen that has started laying a this shelled egg at night while roosting. This has happened 3 times in the last 11 days. She also lays in the nest box, obviously just not as frequently as before. They free range all day and it seems they really aren't eating much for pellets since the weather has been so nice lately. Any thoughts or information is greatly appreciated!

How young?
Usually new layers take their time working out the kinks of their egg laying parts.
I would not worry much if she is a new layer.
