Here is my set up with the infarred heater. My garage is kept at about 75 right now as well. Do i need any light on at night? There are many windows for natural light, just didnt know about a night light. Thanks!

You don’t need a night light, but definitely a screen cover to protect them from anything that should get in the garage. With the brooder plate, you do not need a heat lamp.
Best wishes and be well!

I wouldnt put any light. It will teach them how to sleep when its dark. I made the mistake of having a heat lamp on for my chicks 24/7 in the beginning and had to wean them off of the night light or else they would cry all night.

I would also put a secure cover on the top of that box. Just in case. Baby chicks are very vulnerable.

Fantastic! I do keep my heater on all night, and i wont worry about artificial light at night. Thanks!

Also newspaper isn't ideal flooring, it's slippery and chicks can get splayed legs or tendon problems from slipping around. Paper towels, puppy pads, are safer choices that are similar.
