New chicken owner, so please be kind! Our 8 wk old silkie bantams were transitioned to their coop/run from the brooder (in our office) about a week ago. When they were in our house, I left a nightlight on in the room so they could see a little in their box to get to their food/water/heater.
Their coop is pitch black at night. Do they still need a little nightlight to see? What do you all experienced owners do? I don't want to affect them negatively when it comes to day light length, winter and laying (or not laying), etc.
Thank you!
