Nine chicks hatched. See picture in post# 26.

It's halfway through day 20; no pips and no peeps, but one egg is rocking!

ETA: On closer inspection, I see a tiny bit of eggshell in the water reservoir just under the rocking egg. There must be a pip on the bottom of the egg.

It's coming up on the end of day 20, and there is another pipper, another rocker, and a peeper.

I added water to the incubator last night just before I went to bed. This morning, I have two good looking chicks

but the humdity is too high - about 90%. I opened another ventilation hole at the top of the incubator, but it's not helping much. I can't remove the water without disturbing everything. I'm still thinking about what to do, but for the moment, I'm stumped.

ETA: My heater wires were about to short out in the water, so I had to do something. I opened the incubator and soaked up as much water as possible. The heater is ok, but the humidity is still high. Of course, my humidity sensor is in the very bottom of the incubator and was laying in the water, so it's readings are probably higher than the real humidity at the egg level.

Here's a picture of the first two chicks.

The humidity is down to 80%. The two hatched chicks are doing well...almost dry. Of the remaining 11 eggs, I can see pips on five, so they will probably hatch today or tonight, however it looks like at least six will go well into day 22.

I sure hope so. I had to place the other Welsummer roo right before incubation. My girls have enough with two roos and three was causing fights. I had more but my neighbors dogs decided I needed a smaller flock

So here are the 2nd two chicks; so far, they are coming in twos. This picture shows them only minute or two out of the shell. (I guess technically one is still in the shell?)

I moved the first two to a makeshift brooder and they are doing well. According to the wing feathers (which they don't have), both are cockerels.
