Hi chicken friends. How high would you suggest to position horizontal nipples on a horizon pex chicken water system? I googled but found anywhere from 9"-22" which is a pretty vast range.

Our breeds are:
1 Dark Brahma
2 Easter Eggers
1 Cream Legbar
1 Olive Egger

Would a vertical PVC feeder be about the same height?

Thanks a lot

I’m not sure, I just go by what looks right 😂

I find that the height of a plastic 5 gal bucket is about the right height for horizontal nipples as a general rule. If some of the birds are shorter, you can use bricks or blocks to give them a boost.

Thanks for including a photo, that is very helpful. Appreciate it

Personally I don't think it matters. If a chicken knows where the water is, it will bend its head however it needs to get the water
