Nipple Waterer Height

I'm planning my quail cage. I've ordered several Super Flow Push-in Nipples for a water source. How high above the wire mesh should the nipple be for Coturnix quail? I've seen pictures of chicken setups where the chickens need to stretch to reach the nipple. Do I need to do that for quail or can it be lower?

quail are about 8(?) inches tall, i'd have the nipple high enough to where they can't turn around and poop in it, but low enough that they don't have to stretch...say 6 inches above the floor?

its one of those things you'll figure out once you go to build it

I have no experience with the nipple water systems, but for adult coturnix....Mounting it higher than vent level should be fine.

i would put it at 4 inches high.
