Nipple waterer, Why did I not do this before... (Video)

We've used a bucket with nipples inside the coop. When I added the run, we used a more traditional waterer in the run. I have to say the first thing the hens do in the morning when they get out of the coop is run to the waterer and drink like there's no tomorrow. Given the choice, I'd say they definitely have a preference for the traditional waterer. They'll use the nipple waterer (and they do and it works great), but they'd prefer the other. Unfortunately for them, I get to make the choice and the nipple waterer stays!!

I want to resurrect this thread.

Do these things work for quail?
I have Coturnix quail. Babies say 2 weeks, growing out, adult breeders?

Would these work, or would the cups be better?

Boo-Boo's Mama :

Yep, I just ordered 10 nipples from Neil...couldn't find them locally and figured if I was going to order online why not go with the better price/shipping.

Can't wait to try them. I put one of my rabbit waterers on the BO's hutch the other day and they are happily pecking away so I took their waterer out...they were constantly throwing sand it when they were in their sandbox digging or taking a dust bath.

You wont be dissapointed, Neil is the best!
