Nipple Waterer

I am not sure if these should be used for full grown hens and wanted to know your experience and opinions since I hate cleaning poop out of our current waterer.

I haven't tried using the nipple waterers but I do use rabbit waterers for some of our birds and they had no problem figuring them out.

I know on www.henspa.com they sell the coops with waterers in them and they are the nipple typ. So do you think a rabbit waterer would work?

I've got a couple of friends that use them and like them. I plan to switch to some form I just haven't got all the details worked out. They use the type that are in commercial chicken houses. I'm interested in mounting nipples in a bucket or barrel so it is less prone to freeze in the winter and if it does the damage will be minimal. So maybe your ideas will help me also.
