Nipple Waterers Screw in VS Push in?

I'm looking for a better option to water my 5 hens rater then the waterer that I currently have, and seem fond of pooping all over. I'm looking at the nipple waterers, I can get 5 for less then what I paid for their current 4 gallon waterer and make nice gravity fed system that would work well for them. And at that cost I can make a couple so they can have multiple water locations. Anyhow the question that I have is do the push in ones or the screw in ones work better? The push in ones that I can find have a rubber grommet that pushes into the hole, but the screw in ones do not. It seems that the screw in one would hold better under higher pressure, but I'm worried about leaking.

...both work the same way...I recommend applying clear silicone sealant to whichever style you use...to make sure the water doesnt leak around the nipple when it is installed...wherever. One of the big expenses for the threaded screw in type is the drill bit that is recommended...a metric odd-ball size...is pricey. Use whichever bit you already own that is just a little larger than the nipple...then seal with silicone sealant...let it dry for a few hours before you add water. Here is my version of a watering system. Remember...install the nipples so they point down...if angled (even slightly) they will leak.
