I am going to make a few nipple waterers using 5 gallon buckets - What is the safest way to hang them - I'm afraid to use the handle because I think it will break over time.

Dogfish - I saw your set up just today and really like it!

Unfortuantely, I ordered the push in nipples, not the threaded ones - will this work with PVC?

I'm also a little confuesd on the pvc connection to the bucket?

Push ins will work, possibly. Give it a try. You could always order some of the square PVC from FARMTEK.COM, or order the screw in nipples. Use an 11/32" drill bit for teh screw in nipples. No experience here with the push ins. Is it a gasket type system?

Connections to the bucket are threaded female and male 1/2" PVC connectors. Drill a hole the correct size in the bottom of the bucket. Use a small piece of innertube for a gasket, screw the male piece from the interior of the bucket through the bottom. Set the height of the top of the female connector 1/8"-1/4" abaove the shelf that the bucket sits on and it is pretty watertight.
