Do bobwhite need grit? How to give and what size?

All birds need grit if they are eating anything other than their gamebird food. You can use parakeet sand or even real dirt with tiny stones in it. Stones the size of a millet seed or smaller work well. Some birds can eat a bit larger stones.

Anything that won't dissolve in a glass of water, they'll need grit to digest.
