I love naked neck bantams, though I only have the one in my avatar, who was the result of a cross with a cochin bantam. I have been hoping and wishing for her to give me a chick with the naked neck gene, but everything has popped out fuzzy all over, so I put up my incubator and resigned myself to other projects for this summer. Then my little orange hen decides to go broody for the first time in her life, and 22 days later I'm shoving her aside to find four chicks, one of which takes my breath away . . .
This little guy's pop is a Japanese bantam. Crossing fingers for a hen!
