I have a broody hen that is sitting on 4 eggs. They should be on day 19 today. Last night when I candled them, I noticed that one of them is all black like it is full of a developing chick but there was no air sac. I've never had this before in the 5 years that I've allowed my broody hens to hatch out eggs. Is there any chance for this chick? Do I need to do anything when it comes time to hatch?

It's going to pip and hatch soon☺️

Did you look at it from both ends? If there was no air bag that can mean that the chick has internally pipped. Do you hear any chirping? Pls don't try to assisted until over 48 hours or longer.
